This ammunition is produced using new brass cases, premium bullets, powder, and primers. All factory new ammunition is produced under stringent quality control processes that ensure that all of the SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufactures Institute) specifications are complied with.

 Self defense ammunition is produced to +P standards or to the maximum recommended velocities for that particular caliber.

 Hornady XTP bullets feature a controlled expansion to 1.5x its original diameter over a wide range of velocities.  Additionally they have a heavier jacket that stands up to the high pressures and velocities of the highest performance handgun cartridges.
